With all the problems in the Muslim community, it begs the question of, "What would Benjamen Spock have done"? Who was this guy Benjamen Spock? He is the guy who wrote the book back in 1947 on the "correct" way to raise your kids. It seems that most of the parents of the day took his book as "fact" and used it to raise their kids. Most parents did not like the idea of spanking their kids when they needed it and liked the ideas in Spock's book. Spock told them "not" to spank their kids, but sit down and reason with them. If that did not work, they were told to give the kid a "time out". A time out was where you sent them to their rooms to play with their toys. After they served their "time". They could then be rewarded with love and ice cream so that the parent could continue to be the kids very "best" friend. Kids raised on Spock really liked the idea since they could do almost anything and they were never really punished, only sent to their rooms to play. These same kids looked into the mirror and saw the "perfect" kid and thus adopted the Spock system to raise their own kids years later. You must be asking, "exactly what is this blog all about?" Well, it is about politics.
Now back to the situation with the Muslims. Obama and Hillary have been using the Spock book on how to raise kids in their dealing with the Muslim community. Rather than dealing with the Muslims on the basis of authority as a "normal" parent would do in dealing with a misbehaving child, Obama and Hillary are trying to use "love" and "ice cream". It sounded good in Spock's book, but look at what it produced? We have some of the lowest performing kids in the world. Their SAT scores have gone down since about 1965. Remember that the rest of the world does not run on Spock! Their SAT scores are going up while ours are going down. According to Spock, the way to deal with a Muslim country that is trying to kill us is to "reason" with them and become "their best friend". Give them some ice cream and distract them from killing our Diplomats. As long as they are eating the ice cream, they will be happy and not try to kill us. Once they have eaten the ice cream, they will realize that we love them and will not want to continue killing our Diplomats.
Remember the slogans of the 60's, "Make Love Not War"? Do you think the hippies invented that slogan. It is right out of the pages of Spock. Do you think the hippies ever grew up and saw the light? I can tell you that they never did. Once they had bought into the whole Spock thing, there was no turning back. These people had egos and to change back to normal would mean that they would have to admitted that they were "wrong" and who whats to do that? Look around your community at older women who still wear hippie dresses. They have been out of style for 40 years, but the true hippie still wears their symbols. Can't you just see Hillary in one of those long hippie dresses? It would look "normal" on her.
Spock's ideas did not come out of a vacuum. His father was a Jewish lawyer. Spock went to Columbia, the same school Obama went too. Too bad we don't have any transcripts for Obama's time there so we could see if he took the same courses as Spock. Spock's two wives were "social activists". That was before the title "community organizer" had been invented. Given the fact that both Obama and Spock have had so many things in common, would you not be surprised that they just may hold many of the same views? If you look at the facts and the recent history of how Obama and Hillary have been dealing with the Muslims, you have to agree that they have done, "exactly what Spock would have done".
PS------What did the Indians do when the Persians invaded them and used force to convert them to the Muslim faith? The passive Indians did not use "love" and "ice cream". The Indians used knives and swords and held the Muslims in check for over 500 years. Force is the only thing that Muslims understand. Spock has failed every where that it has been tried. When are we going to dump Spock along with "politically correct" or "PC"? It is all right out of Spock. Every problem has its cause if you will just look for it and Spock is one of those.
