I did some research on Water Vapor and found some interesting facts that I will share in this blog.
I always looked at the atmosphere as being made up of Nitrogen and Oxygen, but I was wrong. I also thought that carbon dioxide was the only significant greenhouse gas. I was wrong there too. Water vapor is over 95% of the greenhouse gas that is in our atmosphere. That leaves Carbon Dioxide and Ozone as minor players. That being the case, why do we hear so much about Carbon Dioxide and are willing to spend much of our countries wealth trying to get rid of Carbon Dioxide? Are our politicians that stupid? Don't answer that question!
As I understand Water Vapor is actually a stabilizer when it comes to the temperature of the Earth's atmosphere. Of all the gases in our atmosphere, water vapor is the only one that will condense from a gas back into a liquid at Earth's temperatures. The amount of heat from the Sun that it takes to boil water from a liquid to a gas is very significant. That is how a steam engine works. The Sun evaporates water from the surface of the Earth and it goes up in the atmosphere where it gives up it heat and fall back to the Earth in the form of rain. Follow that? It seems to me that water vapor is "not" a greenhouse gas!
As if there was not enough water on the Earth in the form of the oceans and the seas, us humans have started farming using irrigation. Did you ever watch on of those gigantic sprinkler systems out West irrigating a giant field? Mush of that water ends up as water vapor going into the air. I guess that frming for human food by our farmers are causing global warming. Did you ever think about that?
In a prior blog I pointed out that when farmers plow the ground, it releases Carbon Dioxide when the organic material in the soil is oxidized. This all sounds like we can stop global warming if we stop farmeers from producing food. If us humans go back to hunter gathering for our food, it will mean than 99% of the Earth's humans will have to be eliminated. Who is talike about getting rid of people?
What you all need to do is to do a little of your own research on honest global warming and the true science behind it. It is upto you.
