Answer To Global Warming

 Why are the advocates of Global Warming so vocal while those against Global Warming are so silent?  That is the big question that this blog will try to answer.

When was the last time that you heard anyone, with facts, calling Global Warming BS?  Never, and why is that?  Why don't we hear more real facts from both sides?  Is it because 50% of our citizens have IQ's below 100?  Partly true!  What about our school teachers?  How many of them are on the side of Global Warming"  My estimate is about 95% and the other 5% appear to be afraid to show their true feelings.

Here are a few facts.  How many know what Ozone is and how, where and why is it formed?  Can you answer my question?  if not you need to do your home work or you will continue to be a victim of the Global Warming movement. 

(1)  How about ethanol in your gas?  If we add 10% ethanol to your gas, it will reduce your mileage by about 5%.  Here is a little math.  If the gas is 90% real gas you will have to use 5% more.  Follow that? If the ethanol produced 50% of the carbon=dioxide as gas per gallon, the poorer mileage cancels out any of the benefits.

(2)  How about the corn used to make ethanol?  Some data shows that we use 40% of our corn to make ethanol.  What about all the energy needed to produce that corn?  No one is telling us about that.

(3)  Another thing about corn is that as we till the soil, it releases carbon-dioxide as the carbon in the soil is exposed to oxidation.  This is not a small factor,  Some feel that the production of food like corn is our major producer of carbon-dioxide.

(4)  How about poor over populated countries?  They farm things like corn and feed it to animals that turn it in to manure. Rather than putting that carbon back into the soil, they burn it for fuel sending more carbon-dioxide into the air as well as that from tilling the soil.

(5)  How about cement?  Never thought about that did you.  Cement and steel are both very large consumers of energy,  It takes at least 400 # of coal to make one ton of cement and steel uses more.

(5)  The use of salt to melt ice causes cars to rust.  Rust is like steel that has returned to iron ore that will have to be re smelted using coal again.  Never thought about that either did you?

(6)  How about immigrants into the USA from poor and over populated countries around the world?  Back home these people use very little energy other that food production as mentioned above.  When they come into the USA their use of energy is multiplied many times along with its generation of more carbon-oxide.

(7)  It is a fact that as the quality of life improves so does the expanded use of energy and the production of carbon-dioxide.  The only way out of this dilemma is less population.  The median age of the USA is 39 while the places where most of immigrants come from it is less than 20.  If we want to slow Global Warming, I do not see any other solution other than responsible breeding focused on those countries where the median population age is less than 30 or 35 years and where the population density is over about 500 per square mile.

Like any decision situation, you need to focus on the "tall ten pole".  What do you think that is?  It is not switching from gas cars to electric cars nor is it more wind mills or solar panels.  It is population. You only have to look at a few modern examples like Ireland and Easter Island to see the impact of over breeding.  Face the music!

Now you know where the problem is and you also know what the solution is and it is not running away and immigrating too the USA!!  These countries only understand "pain"!!  

Global Warming Root Cause

 It appears that Biden is more concerned about Global Warming than freedom for Ukraine citizens.  I will explain in this blog.

New research has shown that producing food by farmers has more impact on Global warming than does the use of carbon based fuels.  If you to not think so, do your own research on the subject.  In the case of the Ukraine, they have some of the best soil in the world.  It is a dark black soil.  What make that soil so black?  It is that it contain up to 15% organic material and that means carbon.  When it is plowed that carbon is exposed to oxidation.  That means carbon-dioxide.

The use of energy is linked to quality of life while carbon-dioxide from the soil is linked to population.  That means the poorest people produce just as much green house gasses.  The other link is that the poorest people or countries are the biggest breeders.  Countries that have a population with a median age less than about 30 are the major cause of Global Warming.  Countries like Ukraine actually have a decline in population.  Their death rate is higher than the birth rate.  That is good. It is not the case in Africa and Central America.  Why don't you hear this sort of thing?

The problem with Biden is that he is just focusing on oil and coal and not on population.  Even Canada has a median population abut 5 years older than the USA.  Russia's population is declining too.  Why doesn't Biden open the pipeline from Canada and allowing drilling on our public land?  What he has done is to make gasoline more expensive here and Russia richer.  Why would we want to punish us USA citizens and help the Russian economy at the same time.  It can only be because the USA and Biden are so stupid.

Look in the mirror and start thinking for change!!

Tea Party In Canada

 As we watch what is going on in Canada we wonder exactly why things are being handled so differently from how the USA would deal with a similar situation.  I will try to explain why in this blog.

I was watching the news and saw the Canadian police arresting one of the tuck drivers and were kicking him while he was being held down.  How could this happen in a civilized country like Canada?  Here is how.  The USA has a Constitution along with a Bill of Rights.  If you look deeper in to our system you will see some big differences.  The purpose of our Constitution is to do at least "two" things.  It not only defines the operation of our government, but it also "protects" the voters or citizens from abuse by the majority.  That is right.  It protects you and me from that 51% vote by our neighbors.  That is not true in Canada.  If 51% of the voters want to do something to you, they can.  Our government protects the minority in many ways.  In Canada they have a congress based on population just like our house of representatives, but no Senate.  In the case of Canada some big cities in Ontario and Quebec dominate their congress so with 51% they can punish the truckers any way they want.  In the USA those same truckers would be protected and could say anything they wanted.  They could use their money in the bank to hire lawyers to defend them against the government, but not in Canada.  If you were to pay the legal bills as is often done by the NAACP the NAACP funds would be frozen.

Most people do not understand that the constitution actually protect citizens from terrane by the majority similar to the 51% as in Canada.  Canada needs the Tea Party!! 

Social Justice

 It is a great sounding slogan, but what does it mean?  Here are some of my ideas in this blog.

Just the statement of "social justice" brings up the whole idea that we lack social justice in our society. Nothing could be farther from he truth.  What does social mean and what does justice mean.  We need to look at both of those words without assuming any thing..  Social is some aspect or property of a group that is made up of "individuals".  Rather than attack a group, why don't we get down to the bottom and attack "individuals"?  When we do that, this whole business of  "justice" starts to break down.  It is when individuals are attacked and they defend themselves individually that the fraud is exposed.  

I understand math and how to apply it, but many who are advocates of Social Justice do not.  They see patterns in social groups and jump to a cause without any justification.  Look at basket ball.  You will notice that it is dominated by Black players and almost zero Asian players.  Why is that?  Is it because there is some kind of social conspiracy against non-Black players?  I don't think so.  So what is it? 

You could look at the percentage of children born out of wedlock and you would also find that Blacks have clearly the highest percentage. Is this some kind of in-justice focused against Blacks?  If so then show me the individuals who are doing this terrible thing to the Black community.  Can't do i can you!

How about entry into college and majoring in some kind of science or engineering?  It is dominated by Asians just like Basket Ball is dominated by Blacks.  Why is that? Who are the individuals who are keeping Blacks out of these technical college majors?  Show them to me so that we can send our legal system in to punish and stop them?  Again, you can't do it.

There are clearly problems within all communities and the Black community has more than its share, but is the solution to find and punish their attackers.  There is no attacker.  It is within the Black community itself on an "individual basis.  This is proven true when you examine "individual" Blacks who do not claim to be victims of "social in-justice".

I am from Missouri, the "show me state".  If you can find me an example of "social in-justice", I will go after that "individual", but if you give me some mumbo-jumbo nothing is going to happen or change.  We all need to look in the mirror from time to time and be honest about exactly what we see there.  It is cowardly to blame others for your own personal failings.  Face the music and that sort of thing.  Stop thinking in terms of groups and start focusing on "individuals" and that means you and me!

What Is The Wolf's Objective?

 The USA and much of the world are concerned about the possibility of Russia invading the Ukraine, so what is the Wolf's real objective?  This blog will explore the situation.

Whether Russia invades Ukraine depends on exactly what the Russian Wolf's real object is.  Why is it that we are all focused on what they are doing and not looking behind the curtain so investigate what their objective is?  Is there some kind of silent understanding that we all know what the Russian objective is?  I asked several friends what they thought the Russian objective is and none responded with any details.  They too were all focused on what they were doing.  It is like a magician who flashes some bright object while they do their trick unnoticed right in front of you.

Here is what I feel is Russian's real objective.  Make Russia richer and the USA poorer.  Most of Russia's wealth comes from the exploitation of their natural resources.  Russia also wants to execute their objective as cheap as possible and how do they do that?  Russia has soldiers, tanks and airplanes that they are now paying for so moving them nearer to the Ukraine border cost the almost "zero".  What happens on the Ukraine and the USA side?  Our news outlets get the ball rolling so they can get more eye balls and thus make more money while they whip up a fuss with us citizens and our politicians.   Why is there no news about what we and our politicians not doing?  What is Biden now "not doing" that he would have been doing if Russia was not flashing all their bright objects?

Look at how Russia has profited.  Look at the higher price of oil and natural gas.  Russia is an exporter of their petroleum while the USA is an importer.  Russians have more money and we have less.  That is a win!  How about our stock market?  How much wealth have we lost do to Russia's actions?  How about the cost of inflation?  We import a lot more of what we need than do the Russians while we export less.

It is my opinion that Russia is doing just what they want do do and that is to make Russia richer and the USA and Europe poorer.  Do you agree?  It is the old "wolf" doing just what wolves always do.

 

Is Ethanol Bad?

 This blog is a reminder for a blog that I published a few years ago about global warming and carbon-dioxide.

I was watching the Gutfeld show on TV where it talked about a research study that showed that ethanol is actually bad for the environment.  In my prior blog I pointed out that most of the carbon-dioxide in the world was actually in the oceans of the world.  I also pointed out that the second source of carbon was actually in our soil.  This is because over the millions of years when plants died, much of the carbon that they took out of the air ended up in soil.  When soil is plowed the carbon is released.  That is why growing more corn actually releases more carbon-dioxide into the air, thus causing global warming.

Several years ago there was a research group form an Eastern university visiting my farm to conduct tests on my soil.  They wanted to find some soil that had never been plowed so that they could compare it with soil that had been farmed by plowing.  The idea was to test those samples to determine which had the most carbon.  What they found was that the unplowed soil contained much more carbon than the plowed and farmed soil.  I discussed this with them at the time and it was clear that large amounts of carbon were historically locked in our soil.  They pointed out that this was logical considering that this was how the coal was formed.

I discussed the facts that I had learned above with some of my technical friends and they were also totally unaware of this fact.  We discussed the impact on our tropical forests of farming.  What happens in all forests is that as the trees grow, they shed bark and leaves on the ground that build up over time and tap carbon in the soil.  I was out on the Olympic Peninsula looking a old Cedar stumps that were being harvested for roof shakes.  Some of these stumps were over 15 feet tall.  I asked why they did not cut the stumps lower.  The foresters pointed out that when the trees were cut, the thatch on the ground was so deep that the trees had actually been cut down at the soil line of the time.  This just points out how much carbon is built up by a forest.  The same is true of a grass plain, but at a slower rate.

The other point about using ethanol to save our planet is that when you add 10% ethanol to your gas, you reduce the BTU value of the fuel by an amount almost equal to the amount of ethanol added.  Gutfeld did not point this out, but he should have.  In the case of my airplane, I do not use gas that has ethanol.  Ethanol attracts water and water can freeze in you gas lines causing the airplane to crash.  I do not use ethanol gas in my chainsaw or lawn mower either for similar reasons.

Interesting when you are aware of a few facts! 

PS--Here is another observation.  There are many countries around the world where people burn the dung from domestic animals rather than returning the dung back to the soil along with the carbon contained in the dung.  This accelerates the transfer of carbon from the soil into the atmosphere which it is claimed it causes global warming.  Why is there no public out cry of this practice by the Green Movement?

Black Fathers

 It has to be clear to all that the Black community here in the USA has more than its share of problems, but no one appears to what to search for the "root cause".  In this blog I will show you the end of that search.

Rather than just focusing on the Black community, I looked at other communities who do not have the problems that plague the Black community.  Anyone can do this, but in the media you never see these comparisons.  Why is that?  I don't care. I just want to examine these other communities honestly. Here are my observations.

I have been collecting data here in the USA for over 80 years.  That is a lot of data.  My personal experiences range from dirt poor to filthy rich and from zero education to advanced degrees.  I have been there in person so I think my data has value.  I was lucky because my family and social group were committed to caring for their children.  That was for both the mother and the father.  Each would have given their own lives for their children and they would expect the same from their social groups.  That is how it was, but it was not unique to my social group.  Others had the same attitude.  Most climbed out of the Dust Bowel and prospered.  So how about other social groups?

I knew some Italian families as well as Portuguese families who had families similar to mine. They were close to their churches as was my family, but it went farther.  I never knew one of these families where the kids were fatherless nor where the fathers would not do anything to protect their children.  Many had more children than they could really afford, but they were still committed.

Over time, I saw the same situation with Jewish families as well as Asian families.  I concluded that this kind of family was "normal" and this was how all families operated, but I was wrong.  When I encountered Black families, the situation was totally different.  The mother and their grandmother seemed committed, but not the fathers.  Why was that and what was the root cause?  Like many, I have been searching for that cause.  I do know one thing and that is that the fathers who abandoned their children were few in the communities that I was familiar with.  Further, those fathers were looked down on by their communities.  Most were isolated and had few friends in their old communities.  In the case of Black fathers who abandon their children they are "not" looked down on by their communities.  They have a large group of similar fathers who have also abandoned their children and they feel very comfortable and supportive unlike their White counter part.  I think this is the big difference and the root cause.

Based  on my observations above, I feel the most significant social problem with in the Black community is due to the lack of responsibility of the Black fathers.  Further, the solution for this kind of problem does not come from outside the Black community, but from with in.  From my experience with control systems, there are situations where things get so far out of control that no matter what one does with the controls, there is no way to gain control of the system.  It is like a "flat spin" with airplanes.  Once a plane gets into a flat spin it is only time before the plane crashes to the ground.  It appears that it may be the same situation with the current Black community.  I hate to state that there may be no hope, but that just may be the current situation.  Society may have to go out side the normal standards and use techniques that are now socially not acceptable.  What those are is another blog, but we should start thinking about that possibility.

I love my children and would easily give up my life for anyone of them.  When Black fathers will do that there will then be a chance of improving life in the Black community. 

 

 

What Is The Objective?

 How can  one judge the merits of a decision without having a basic "objective"?  This blog will dig into this very key concept.

I have given this business of "objective" a lot of thought.  I used to teach Decision Theory and Micro-Economics at a major university and without an "objective" how can one judge the merit, quality or value of a decision?  The answer is clear that. "It can not!". I will explore some simple examples to clarify my point.

I have explored many possible objectives and note that in a country of over 300 million people would expect an equal number of "individual" objectives.  For decisions that effect the whole country the question is how does one boil down all these individual objectives into one that can apply to the whole nation?  This is the challenge. but I have come up with one that I think works and that is to "improve the quality of life of the citizens of the USA"'  That needs even a more detailed definition and I add that it applies to the "median" person or that person right in the middle.  It is not the average nor is it "all" persons.  That would be impossible to define the objective as "all". This simple definition could be adjusted to weight people toward the top and bottom, but I think that would end up crashing the whole concept of a national objective,  Now, let try my objective against some recent decisions.

First off, let' look at the decision by Biden to open our Southern border.  You could argue that letting all these poor people in will help our economy produce a bigger economic pie and that would be good.  We all know that we are short of workers, so more workers would be good.  If we test this against my objective of "better quality of life for us USA citizens", we see that this bigger pie has to be divided between more mouths such that the "median" mouth ends up with a smaller piece of pie.  That violates the objective, doesn't it?  The median quality of life goes down due to Biden's decision.  It may be true that the average piece of pie goes up, but only because there are a few at the very top who are even richer.

Next, let's look at the decision by Biden killing the oil pipeline and drilling on public lands. Before Biden's decision gas cost $1.50 plus $0.50 tax for a total of $2,00.  Now gas at my station today was $3.00 plus $0.50 for a total of $3.50.  By my calculation Biden doubled the cost of gas and I do not make twice as much money as before.  I think that most of you understand that energy is the main key to the raising of quality of life for us humans here on Earth and what Biden's decision has done it "lower" the "median" quality of life here in the USA.  You might argue that Biden's decision addresses global warming and that improves the quality of life for us.  Even if you add this to the decision, you still need to show that it is "worth it" to the "median" citizen and you know that answer--no!.

You  can continue similar analysis of decisions as I have done above and I think it will be clear that we need to agree on a clear national objective.  You know my objective for the nation and I challenge you to discuss this concept with your friends and see if you can come up with a better objective.  Plus, you will challenge those who judge national decisions without a clear objective that you will call them out.

Russia Is A Wolf

 If you have been watching all the news about Russia and Ukraine you have missed the whole point.  In this blog I will  open your eyes.

First off, we need to understand Wolves.  If you have watched any of the movies on Yellow Stone and the poor Bison, then you know part of the story.  When a wolf pack goes out to kill a Bison for food, they have a "plan".  Now it is that plan that is the point of this blog.  What the wolves do is to send out just one or two wolves to single out a Bison and chance him around until he gets tired.  Some times they have to rotate the wolves to keep the wolves from getting too tired.  The point is to tire out the Bison so that when it is tried the whole pack can come in for the kill.  If you understand this story, then you will understand the Russia and what they are doings.

What Russia is doing is taking some of their troops that they have been paying for and who were stationed back in their barracks and moving them up to the border with Ukraine.  It does not cost Russia an additional penny to put their troops on that border.  They were paying them before, but now the Ukraine and the USA have to spend all kinds of new money to challenge Russia.  Isn't that a lot like what the wolves are doing to the Bison?  Isn't the objective of war to make your enemy weaker?  The Ukraine could go broke financially due to this strategy.

This wolf strategy is used all the time right under our noses and most of us don't even notice it.  Look at terrorists and how they operate.  They know that they will never be able to win a war against a stronger nation, but they can make the nation spend all kinds of money and wealth.  A terrorist by spending a few bucks can cause a country like the Ukraine or the USA to spend millions.  That money is not free.  It has to come from some place and that could be food or higher taxes, all of which weaken the enemy.

When you look at the situation from the angle of a Wolf, you get a much different picture of the situation. It has to be clear to you that what Russia is doing is acting like a "Wolf"!
