If you have been following my blogs, you know that I do not think that global warming is a serious item. This\blog assumes that it has a grain of truth. Obama has convinced a lot of "one movers" that he is concerned about global warming and is willing to kill the USA economy to prevent global warming. Here are the facts and a little 4th grade math.
The two factors that drive pollution and the primary cause of global warming are increasing population and rising quality of life. Here is why. The more people we have here on earth the more they will be creating pollution. In some countries their population doubles every 20 years. I think the population of the world doubles every +/- 40 years. That means that in 40 years the pollution will double and in 40 more years it will double again. Are you with me on this? More people is the problem and we need to focus on that as the primary cause.
There is another cause and that is rising quality of life. The higher the quality of life the more energy that a person uses and the more pollution they create. Did you ever notice that the USA uses the most energy per person and thus has the highest quality of life. Those are the facts. You need to get a grip on these two facts before we move on.
The population of the USA is about 340 million and of that about 25million are illegals who should not even be here. Using your 4th grade math, that mean we have about 315 legal Americans. Now it gets a little more complicated. Figure that Americans use 10 times the energy that the third world illegals used when they were back in their own countries. The base line for energy use by Americans would then be 315x10=3150. Got it? The 25 million illegals used to use 1/10 the energy that Americans do. That means that their pollution index would have been 25x1=25. When they moved too the USA illegally, their quality of life improved and they too used 10 units of energy. If all the illegals were sent back to their homes, the total pollution/energy use would only be 3150. When we let them into the USA that increases our pollution by 250/3150=8% and increases the worlds energy use and pollution by 250-25=225 units of pollution.
I know that a lot of people would like to improve the quality of life for many in the third world, but they have to also understand that it would mean their use of more energy would cause more pollution. Letting more immigrants into the USA from third world countries means more pollution, energy use and faster global warming. Think about it and be intellectually honest and you will agree. Remember that there is no such thing as a "free lunch".
