Given that the USA is dead last in Math and Science, it is no wonder that Obama has so little trouble coning stupid American voters about Wind Power. Obama is clearly the "Prince of Fools" and it is also clear who are the "fools". Wind power will never be competitive with oil, gas and coal for producing energy. With all the concern about Carbon, if we only have a few years left until the oil is all gone, what is the worry? When the oil is gone, our cars will stop pumping Carbon into the air and that is just a few years away. Obama just doubled down on wind and solar power with our money. If you go along with my theory that Obama wants to trash the American economy, then wasting our hard earned tax money on wind power would be just the thing to do. In the process, he earns votes from the "fools". Obama is smart and he is willing to do anything to trash the economy, split the nation and get reelected. As I look at the past three years, I can not find one action by Obama that does not agree with my simple theory. It is a fact that simple theories are much more likely to be correct vs some complex one. It is also easier to get away telling a big lie than an small one.
I wrote a blog on wind power where I showed that we can't lower the cost by efficiency. We are over 40% now and the theoretical limit is just 60%. Think of it this way. In a swept area of wind, there is only so much energy. As you take more and more energy out of that swept area the amount of air that flows thru the wind mill goes down. When the wind is totally blocked by the wind mill, no wind gets thru and at this point, the wind mill produces "zero" energy. That is why the maximum amount of energy that you can get out of the swept area is just 60%. Now, we have 20% to go, but to get that, the wind mill has to cost much more. The wind mill now has a total cost of more than the energy that it can produce and any attempt to increase the efficiency only makes that additional energy more expensive. It is a no win proposition. In the land of "fools" it is impossible to convince the "fools" of this fact. They prefer to continue to drink the cool aid passed out by the "silver tongued" Obama.
How would you like to have your hospital running on wind power when you were in for heart surgery? Wind power is only available part time, but we have to pay for the equipment 100% of the time. Think of it this way. You have a job where you work 8 hours a day, but the company has to pay you for 24 hours per day. That is what wind and solar are all about. I know that many of you "fools" think that we are going to make some kind of technical break thru or gain from the mysterious "learning curve". The problem with "fools" is that they do not understand that 99% of the wind mill technology has not changed in the past 100 years. Further, they don't know that the Lithium-Ion battery was invented back in 1904, over a 100 years ago. Further, they don't know that even the most efficient low cost battery can not in it life time store energy equal to the cost of the battery itself. I have used the Easter Island example before, but it is still worth repeating. When the people on Easter Island ran out of food, the started a public works program carving the giant heads and thus had full time jobs until the day they died. Does that sound like the "Land Of Fools"? Will Obama give you a job building wind mills until the day we all die of starvation? Think about it.
