Who are the Green Nuts trying to save the planet for? I will tell you who in this blog.
Right now about 1/3 of the countries of the world can not produce enough food to feed their existing population and over 3/4 do not produce enough energy to maintain a reasonable quality of life. If you are honest about their situation, they caused it themselves. How? By over breeding. You tell me what countries in the world can support a population of over 500 people per square mile? Or how about countries that have an average aged population of less than 25? I do not think that there are any. Now, do you think that you should starve your grandchildren to help these people who appear do not want to help themselves? Are those the people who we are trying so hard to save the world for?
Think about what happened on Easter Island just a few hundred years ago? They over populated that small island and then most of them starved to death. That is how nature and Darwin solve these kinds of problems. Go do you history lesson and find out what has happened in the past because if you don't, you can be assured that it will happen again.
Look at the Sahara Desert. It is getting bigger. It that because of global warming? I do not think so. It is because humans in Africa tried to save the planet by letting their goats eat the last few blades of grass and the tender leaves from the trees. Now the grass is dead and so are the few trees that were once there. You can see the same thing on the islands of the Caribbean. To get rid of the brush and fire hazard on these islands, they introduced goats. Over time the goats ate all the grass and leaves and the only thing that could then grow was thorn brush. Now, it is impossible to hike on the islands for fear of getting stuck with the thorns. The same thing is now happening in California.
This all makes one ask the question, "Who are we trying to save the planet for?"
My great grandfather dug out stumps and rocks from his farm field so that he could grow more food. He knew that he would be dead before much additional food would be grown on that land, but he did it for his grand kids. He planted trees so that his grand kids would have wood for their stove, not for himself. Given that he did all this work for his grand kids, do you think that it is honest and fare to allow people who have been over breeding to come into the USA illegally to each that food or to cut down those trees? I don't think so. It is true that at one time the USA had a lot of extra land, but not any more, We don't have free land for illegal immigrants any more. We have to save our part of the planet for our grand children and those illegal immigrants have to go back to their home and do the same thing. There is not cheap way to handle this so we should all stop trying and do what our grand parents wanted.
