Most people and 100% of the News feels we have a "Supply Chain Problem". It maybe true, but what Biden wants to do is not the solution. This blog will explain why.
The News show several hundred container ships waiting off the California coast. Some have been waiting for weeks to unload their cargo. Even if they were able to unload, they still would have a problem with trucks to take the goods to stores. Most people think that we have an infrastructure problem and we need to get congress to pass a bill to spend trillions on infrastructure. Is that the solution? I don't think so.
What is the real problem? Never thought about it before? We are importing too much stuff from China and Asia. Why is that stuff not being made here? What will spending on infrastructure really accomplish/ What it will do is to make it easier and cheaper to import more stuff! Why is the stuff not being made here with our own out of work workers? It is because we are raising the tax on companies here and making stuff from China and Asia cheaper. Isn't that what Biden wants to do?
It is even worse. Do you think that the government can spend the money that they take from you and me and business better than we can? I don't think so. The company wants to spend his profits on new types of equipment that will allow him to make stuff cheaper, but Biden took their money away with tax.
Remember that on day one, Biden shut down oil and gas exploration on our public lands thus making our gas and oil cost more for all of us. It makes shipping stuff more expensive for both our companies and China and Asia. Further, we lost our advantage over China and Asia in the process because they have to import their gas and oil while we used to be able to produce our own right here.
My bottom line is that we should not spend a penny trying to make the "Supply Chain" cheaper for China and Asia. It would be one of the stupidest things that we could do. If the benefits go to China and Asia, then why don't they pay for it rather than us tax payers? I know that you never thought about this key point and that is the problem!
