Remember Darwin? He was the guy who looked for the "cause" of things like gravity. Rather than always looking at the current situation, why don't we focus more on the "cause"? If we started working on the "cause" we might be able to change the current situation. That is what this blog is about.
I am going to use El Salvador for my example because we can all agree that they are totally screwed up and are now creating problems for others. They currently have almost 900 people per square kilometer. How did it get this bad? We need to answer that question. Back in about 1950 the USA had about 40 people per square kilometer. That is over 20 time less than El Salvador. You have to admit that we are looking at a situation that is extreme, but this is where you can learn a lesson.
At one time the population of El Salvador was much less and the quality of life for those people was much better. They could hunt for all kinds of wild animals for food, but not any more. There are very few wild animals left in El Salvador today. It is much like what the impact of global warming is projected to be at some time in the future. Now, what has caused this situation? It is clearly over population! When an undeveloped country has more than 800 people per square kilometer, there is no way that the median family can have any kind of quality of life. When the end of the human race comes, it comes first in places like El Salvador, That is what we are all seeing and few seem to under stand.
The title of this blog was about Darwin. Nature as defined by Darwin kept a lid on over population by the human race for thousands of years. He did this by starving a few so that others could continue to live. Us "smart" humans figured out how to avoid Darwin's laws and we seem to have prospered for a while, but it could not continue for ever. What the human race is now up against is the facts of life and we must realize that to have a higher quality of life for the median family, we need to limit the size of the world's population.
China was one of the first to understand this and made a rule that a family could only have "one" child. Most of the world was horrified by their decision, but down deep, we knew that it was the correct decision. Notice that the decision by China was not for millions to immigrate to Europe or the USA, so why is immigration now considered a solution for over population?
When faced with a serious problem, one can take either of two approaches. Those are to "delay" or to face the problem directly. Immigration is not a solution. At best, it is only a delay. The real problem is over breeding and over population and it needs to be faced much like it was done by China. Do you have the honesty and guts that it takes to do what is right?
