We think of the USA as the birth place of Democracy, but is there a bigger story? The trade mark of a Democracy is the free election of those who will run the government and it is that election process whih is the objective of this blog.
The USA is made up of more diverse groups than any other country in the world. That is a fact. Given that the people who want to run the lives of others tend to be those who run for public office, it is no wonder that our election process has become perverted. Politicians work by the rule, "the ends justifies the means". For them their desire to gain the political office is so great that they are willing to look the other way if it helps them. The other principle that guides these new age politicians is, "divide and conquer". This last one is my major concern. In a democracy, once we have elected a person, it is the responsibility of that person to represent 100% of the people, even if some did not vote for the person. It seems that our new age politicians feel that they only owe or represent those who voted for them and owe nothing to those who did not.
Look at some of the factions that represent our electorate. You could divide the USA any number of ways, but these are mine. Male and female is one way and it is interesting. If only Males were allowed to vote, Obama would never have become President nor would we now have Obamacare. If only Whites were allowed to vote, it would be the same as above. If only those who graduated high school were allowed to vote, we would not have Obama. If only people who paid federal income tax were allowed to vote, we would not have Obama either. Who were in the group who elected Obama?
I don't want to be too negative about the mental capacity of USA voters, but you have to realize that our voters rank about 30th in the world in terms of education. The bottom line is that we do not have the smartest voters. The new age politicians know all this and work to collect as many votes as possible from those least qualified to vote voters. What we end up with is a bunch of politicians in Washington DC whose election was determined by a group of very marginally qualified voters.
When you consider that 40% of our kids do not graduate high school and they are allowed to vote, it is no wonder what kinds of people end up in Washington DC running the show. Remember George Washington? He did not want to be President. It took a bunch of smart well educated mature men to convince George to take the job. Today, there is zero chance of a person like George Washington ever becoming President. What do you think of that? Do you like the change?
PS---Why do Democrats want to turn out more Blacks and Women? How are Blacks and Women alike? How are they different from every one else?
