If a policy is correct, it is always simple. It does not require 12,000 pages to explain, so here is my "New Immigration Policy".
"Only let people immigrate into the USA if they will raise the average per capita GNP of the USA for the next 10 years. Deport all people who illegally enter the USA along with all their children no matter how long they have been here or how long it takes."
If we used this simple guide line, zero of the children who are now crossing our southern border would be allowed to stay Further, we would be deporting the more than 12 million illegals who are already here.
We would also not be trying to save the world by letting anyone who is poor or who lives under a bad government to come here. We can't save the world by destroying our own country. Darwin will take care of all those people who we do not allow to immigrate into the USA.
PS---I think that the average per capita GNP for the USA is about $50,000. For an immigrant is to qualify, they have to be able to earn or produce $50,000 worth of added value per year. None of these children can do this. If a family of 3 wanted to immigrate into the USA, the family would have to produce $150,000 of added value from year one thru year 10. If they can't do that, they will "lower" the standard of living in the USA for the average citizen. Isn't that clear?
