It seems that some of the talking head Republicans are starting to talk about the changing demographics of the USA. Who has been asleep? I have been beating this drum for several years now. The of US of A is not what our parents handed down to us. It has changed big time and in ways that I don't like and no should you. Remember, most of this happened on our watch. So what has changed?
We have gotten dumber by any measure. Our SAT scores have been going down since the mid 1960's. The number of engineers our colleges and universities graduate hit its peak back in 1986 at a time when we need more technical graduates. Most of the graduate student in our technical Phd programs were born in some other country. Isn't this enough of a wake up call? How could the Republicans miss some thing as big as this? We graduate more kids with degrees in Political Science than the rest of the world combined. They don't want them and we don't need them, but it is a good way to squander our nation's wealth. We seem good at that.
Unions membership has been going down in the private sector as plants close and jobs are transferred to countries where people still want to work. Our education system is designed to produce government employees and lawyers. Now that we have most of our government employees unionized, it makes you wonder exactly who they are working for, us or their union. They now take our tax money that the politicians they elected gave them and use it to elect more and to extort more money out of us tax payers. They pay taxes too, but it is with our money not money they earned.
These are numbers that I have extracted on demographics that paint a sad picture of how far we have come. They are not exact, but none are, but they are close.
(1) Our population mix is now about 15% Black, 15% Hispanic and 70% White of those people who are of voting age. If you were to look at grammar schools, it would be less than 50% White. That is a peak into the future.
(2) When it comes to high school graduates, it looks like this. Overall, we have a 40% dropout rate so graduates by group works out to about 40% Blacks, 35% Hispanic and 70% White. It is my position that most of the voters who are not at least high school graduates are in a very poor position to analyse what is best for the future of the USA and thus vote accordingly. That is the big problem facing the USA and the country that we have ever known. I have heard that our military rejects over 80% of those who apply because they are not qualified (smart enough). See the problem?
(3) In the election the vote was about 50%/50% over all. Now what do you think the numbers would have looked like if you had to be a high school graduate to vote? Interesting question! Based on my numbers the vote would have been about 42% for Obama and 58% for Romney. Big difference! Because of the decline in the character of our people we have, in affect, turned over the control of what we have built up over the past 300 years to voters who are not qualified to run it. Look at the numbers if you had to be at least a high school graduate to vote.
I did not go into the fact that so many voters have a clear conflict of interest because they slop at the public trough. How can they see what is best for the nation when they vote for who ever will feed them and not require them to work, only vote. Why work for a living when you can vote for a living? I am sorry, but I don't see a solution. In Greece they are rioting in the streets and burning down buildings because the free lunch is ending. It is not ending, they are just being asked to take half a loaf. What do you think is going to happen here when the same thing happens. Over 40% of every dime the government spends to put food in the public trough is borrowed and will have to be paid back some day. I don't think that all the national parks are enough to pay the debit off and what else will we have that has value that our creditors will want?
Anyone who did not see this train wreck coming has had their eyes closed or are just plain stupid. Next time you hear the word "Demographic" ask the person when they just woke up!
