Plausible Deny Ability, did you ever hear that one out of Washington DC? If you are an elected official and know the ropes, that is what you do. This is how it works. If you make a decision that you don't want to be held responsible for, you get one of your people to carry out the decision, but keep you out of the "official" loop. This way, if you get caught, you can say, "I don't know anything about it". The trick to making this work is that it has to be "plausible". That is where the problem comes in. Often when something bad happens and it is clearly on you watch, there only two ways that it could happen and both are bad. First, you did not know anything about what happened and you did not authorize it. Second, you are incompetent and should not have the position that you have because you should have known about this and prevented it from happening. That is the situation in Washington DC now. The only way out for Obama and Holder is that they are either caused the problems or they are so incompetent that the problems occurred under their watch without them knowing it. Both need to be impeached or resign.
I can just see the two of them making plans with very key staff people and both saying to all, "you never heard me giving this order and if you do, I will deny it." There will already have been an "unwritten" rule in place that tells all key people to never leave a "paper" trail on anything that happens in the oval office. That is why when questioned about a meeting that should have happened that they claim that they have never spoken in the past several months to the President. If they never spoke to the President, then how could he have given then instructions or they give him any kind of an update on what has happened. If they all do this right, they all end up as stupid and incompetent, but do not go to jail. Is that anyway to run a government, but is the way it works.
You just watch over the next few months as the multimillion dollar green loans and the gun running gets investigated by the congress. You are going to see "Plausible Deny Ability" used again and again as a defense. What you have to do is to see thru this. Stupidity is not a defense nor is "Plausible Deny Ability". You may never here the words "Plausible Deny Ability", but you will know it when you see or hear it.
