How about a little honesty? I am talking about our new President Biden in this blog.
The new Biden government just passed some kind of bill to combat the Covid-19 flu virus and it would be nice if they were just a little more honest with the voters. I did some very simple calculations that any 4th grader could have done to better understand the bill and the 1.9 trillion dollars. These numbers are not "perfect" but they are close enough for my purposes and yours.
The total cost of the bill is 1.9 trillion dollars. How many zeros are there after the "9" before we need a period? This is just a test to see if you are awake. Ask your friends the same question so that you can determine if they are qualified to vote. The next number we need is an approximate number of people there are in the USA. My estimate is 330 million. Now that we have this number we next need to estimate the size of a typical family here in the USA. For that I am using 4. Two adults and two children. Now comes the 4th grade math. We are not talking about "New Math" here, just regular old 4th grade math. we get $5758 for each man women and child in the USA. Does that seem like a lot to you? I does to me. Now for the whole family that amounts to $23,030 per typical family. Hey, that is really a lot of money.
Now comes the honesty part. Did Biden and his liberal friends give that money to the families? No! As I understand he bill only provides $1,400 to each tax payer and in the typical family that would be just those two adults for a total of $2,800. The first question that you might ask is, "Where it that other $20,230 go". Sounds like we need a little honesty here, but it gets worse.
Where did all that money, the $23,030 come from. I don't think that our government has any money in the bank, Do you? What they did is that they went out and "borrowed" the money. That's right, they took out a loan and guess whose name they signed on the note? It is the names of your two kids. You don't think that Biden and his friends are going to sign that note do you? Rather than thanking Biden for the money, you should lean over and kiss your two kids and thank them and while you are at it, you might also ask them how they plan on paying it back to those creditors. You should also explain to them that our of that big loan they signed for that the family only got $2,800 or 12%, If your kids are too young, you might have to explain what 12% means.
If you have older kids, you might explain to them how this is like a new home loan in some ways and that if they add up all the interest that they will be paying on that loan that they could end up paying many times that $2,800 that the family got that allowed their parents to buy those two nice bicycles. Ask them if they now think that those bicycles were worth it or not. I am sure of the answer. Isn't it nice when a parent can be honest with their children? It is too bad that we can not say the same for out President Biden.
If nothing else, this should be a lesson for all families and their children. It better be a good lesson because there is no way that the USA could ever afford to repeat this lesson. If this is not a one time deal, you can kiss the future of your children goodbye! .
PS---If you live long enough to see your kids pay back that $23,030 in 30 years at 4%, they will have had to pay back $39,955. Remember that your family only go $2,800 which was enough to buy those two very nice bicycles. It looks like your got screwed by President Biden and his friends.
