I can not think of anything more stupid than the current attack on fossil fuels and this blog will point out why.
I am going to start off close to home with the impact on the cost of gasoline. In my state before Biden was sworn in the cost of gas at my station was $1.919/gal and now it is up to $4.449. That is a change of 27.6% in just a few weeks, but there is more. In my state the combination of state and federal gas tax is $0.513/gal. If you take out the tax, that has not changed, and just look at the actual cost of the gas, you will find that the cost of gas has actually gone up by 37.7% in those few weeks. I don't think that your pay went up by 37.7% during that time, so do you now see the problem with President Biden and his green buddies?
Why did it go up so much so fast? Don't know? New York stock traders started buying options on gas and forced the future prices up and it made the current prices go up too. They bought "low" and are next going to sell "high". Is this any thing else but price manipulation? It is and you know it. It is clear that the price of all fossil fuels are going up as Biden and his green friends attack fossil fuels of all types, but the stock traders made it go up faster so they could cash in.
Do you think that they are the only ones cashing in? Well, you would be wrong. How about the credit card companies? Even if the actual gallons of gas purchases in the future go down, the credit card companies will end up with at least 1/3 more dollars charged and you know that will greatly increase their profits. At the recent price of gas at $1.91/gal the credit card companies were making a profit and covering all of their costs. With the same number of individual charges, but at 33% higher cost on each charge, the credit card companies will not have to invest a penny to administer the charges. It will be like gravy rolling in. They will make a big profit on these higher prices and that is one of the reasons that many big companies backed Biden. They were only thinking about profit, not the citizens.
The poorer citizens who thought that the Biden and the Democrats were their friends will be sad to find out that they only wanted their votes. It was the big money that Democrats really wanted to please.
PS--I was just to my local gas station and the price of regular is up from $2.449 to $2.499. That means the numbers that I reported above are even worse and I know that none of you got this kind of raise in your pay during these past few weeks. Do any of you have "buyer's remorse" now that the facts are starting to pile up?
