Well, It is now Election Advertisement season. Let's look at the impact of all this Election Advertisement in this blog.
It has only been a few days since the kick off of this every four year election cycle. From what I have seen so far it is my estimate that about 25% of advertisement for the next 3 months will be political. What does the mean or what will be the impact on non political things? I think that it will be a wind fall for the media in that they will make more money. They will charge more for political advertisements to the point that people or companies who used to fill the advertisement time will be out bid. If the media companies charged the same and just gave ;reference to political advertisement, that would be illegal. The bottom line is that media companies will make more. Where do you think all the money that candidates collect end up?
Here is another slant. If companies who promote their businesses using advertisement to sell and make more profit. If they can not advertise as in the past, it must have a negative impact on business profits and thus impact on taxes.
Here is another point. If a person is giving money to a candidate, where are they going to get the money to purchase something from a business? They only have so much money and so if money goes to a candidates it means that they have less for other things. It is kind of like school. If you add a class, you have to eliminate a class. It is the same with political advertisement.
Another group that benefits are those who create the political advertisements. Did you notice that these people are the same media people who have been favoring one political party over the other. Interesting isn't it?
You can make your own list of who benefits from all the money that has been flowing in. I almost forgot about the fraud factor and you know that the election plays right into their hand. Look at what happened with Black Lives Matter. This is even bigger.
