How about some simple honesty when it comes to Biden and employment? I will do what I can do in this blog.
This might be a repeat, but it is critical. It is very difficult to get any kind of accurate data from the internet. It has to be because the audience is so stupid or there is some person pulling the strings behind the curtain. What I wanted to do was to investigate the unemployment figures and the open job data. It was very difficult, but I did come up with some data.
The first key data was the participation rate for 2000 compared to 2023, It was 67.3% back in 2000 and has dropped down to 61.6% in 2023.. For the simple minded, that is a difference of 5.7%. That sounds big, but not too big. Here is how you should look at it in terms of %. Let's start with 100% as the base line in 2000 and see how much of a change this actually is. Would you believe it is really 8.5%. That means 8,5% of people who used to work for a living has gone down by a true 8.5% not the 5.7% being told to you.
It gets worse. How high would the current labor participation rate have to be today for the unemployment rate to be "zero"? That is a good question that most people should be asking. Well, it turns out that if labor participation rate were to return to just 65..5% we would not be having a problem. Remember that it was 67.3% back in 2000.
When one starts to dig into the numbers, rather than listening to the talking heads, it is interesting what one finds out. Here is another point. It was almost impossible to find out the total number of workers that was being used as the basis for the different % calculations. I had to revers engineer the numbers to find out For example, the data reported 158 million workers who had a participation rate of 67.3%. That works out to a labor force of 235 million back in 2000. If one did not know a little math, there is no way you would ever find this kind of number.
This is just a few examples and if the voters of the USA do not get off their ass's and start thinking for themselves for a change, you can kiss the USA that your parents built away.
