You've heard it before. Dues paying member of this or that. What I am talking about is a dues paying member of the USA. I feel that if you want to be a member or a citizen of this USA, then you should also have to pay dues just like for any other association. Did you ever belong to a club or organization? If you did, most require you to pay some dues to support the organization. It is no different here in the USA. Some very hard working people long before you built this country and they did not do it for a bunch of free loaders who were not going to pay dues. Those people who built this place set the system up to support all the members and it has done that, but they expected those members to pay dues. Notice that I have used the term "dues" over and over again above.
Think of dues this way, "as taxes". That's right, taxes. If we want to be a member of this country then we need to pay taxes to support it. Even if you don't need to work because the system is paying you, you still need to pay taxes. From here on, why don't you just think of the taxes you owe as the dues you need to pay to support the country. I could get into what is your fair share of the taxes, but most of you would not believe that you don't pay your fair share even if you do pay taxes. I think that in a prior blog that I said that if you do not have a family income of at least $125,000 per year and pay taxes on that, then you don't pay your fair share. That means that about 75% of families do not pay their fair share. If you are one of those who does not pay their fair share of dues or taxes, you need to ask yourself what you are doing to prepare yourself to be able to pay your "dues".
From the very beginning, us USA citizens have been willing to pay a portion of the dues for anyone who was not able to pay, but they all expected that those people would not "game" they system and take advantage of their good will. What we now have is a bunch of citizens who are able to vote and use that vote to "game" the system. Any organization can stand a small amount of "gaming", but when it gets to the level that we now have in the USA, it puts the whole organization at risk. These free loaders think that the system built by others is too big to fail and collapse, but they are wrong.
