When something goes bad, most of us want to blame someone. You might be surprised about just who to blame and this blog will explain why.
I might as well give you the answer right off. You and me are the ones to blame. That's right. It is you and me so get used to it. That means that you and I are the ones who have to figure out how to get thing right again. How did we do it?
Remember my blog about reading about our importation of doctors back in about 1975? That was when we started importing more than 50% of our new doctors. Why was that? You and me and our kids did not want to study medicine because we were too dumb or lazy. It was cheaper to import our doctors and pay them from our over paid jobs. Getting the message?
Our literacy rate has also been going down right at time when education and technology were becoming the currency of the economic future. At about 69% the USA, which means you and me and our kids have one of the lowest literacy rates in the world. I think that in Cuba it is about 99%.
We did an even worse job in education right when we and the world needed to do a better job. China saw the writing on the wall and did something about it. Kids in China don't go to college at tax payer's expense and take basket weaving. They take the hard classes like Science and Math. When you look back 75 years, when we were coming out of WWII and the great depression with the GI Bill, young people took the hard Science and Math classes and we did do better than most of the world for the next 50 years. When those people retired or died, who took their place? It was you and me.
During that time we expanded our colleges and universities with government loans that allow our spoiled kids to take basket weaving in our colleges. Well, we now have a lot of basket weavers who can not compete with most of the rest of the world and are living on "credit". That's right you and me are living on "credit". Why else would our national debit be over 30 trillion dollars? We borrowed that money and spent it like water. How are we going to pay it back? Are your kids that much smarter and competitive in the world that they can earn that amount of money? You know the answer.
If we want to keep living it up, who is going to mow our lawns? How about letting in millions of people who will work for much less than we will? That means we will have to borrow less to pay for our lawn mowers. Is that really better or should we start living within our means? If you are smart enough to calculate how much our national debit is per person, you will find that is almost $100.000 per person. Have you got that much money or how many life times will it take for you to earn it? How did we dig such a deep hole?
Look at the election where you and me elected Biden. How qualified was he to run our country? Did he ever manage anything with his own money? I don't think so. Why did we pick him over Trump? Under Trump, did we have it so bad? Was Trump a perfect President? No! Is Biden a perfect President? Has anyone ever been a perfect President for the USA? The answer is no! Did you really think that Biden was going to be that perfect President? Many of us did and it points up how stupid many of us are. We need to get the words "perfect" and "all" out of our vocabulary because they do not exist in real life.
Are you starting to see and can you admit that you and me are the ones who are at fault? Until we accept responsibility for our stupidity I do not see a way out of the hole that we have dug!
