The liberals in the USA at all levels are promoting "Equity", but their actions are just the opposite I will explain in this blog.
If you have not read my blog on Equity" where I compared the USA and Canada, you should go read it. The idea of that blog was to show a simple way to measure "Equity". The index is the difference between the "average" net worth compared to the "median" net worth. Notice that a few very rich people can significantly raise the "average" without changing the "median". This is what is going on with the poor immigrants who are crossing our southern border every day. They add to those below the "median" and in the process make the very rick even richer. It has to be clear to all that illegal immigration of poor people into the USA makes "Equity" worse. So what should we be doing?
How about starting with our schools. When I was a kid we had truant officers who prevented kids from skipping school. The effect was to increase the literacy rate and the earning power of the graduates. What kind of income can a person expect if they do not graduate? You can bet that it is well below the "median" thus causing my "equity" index to be worse. Seems clear that the liberals could be working to keep kids in school and to graduate. Notice that 99+% of Asian kids graduate from high school and go on to earn over twice the "median". This helps the "Equity" index in the process.
How about out of wed lock births? Statistics show that kids born out of wed lock earn much less than those who have both a mother and father in the home and thus helps the "Equity" index. You only have to look at the Black community to see that they have an out of wed lock birth rate of over 75% and in some cities it is close to 90%. By contrast, if you look at the Asian community their out of wed lock birth rate is almost "zero". Does that tell you something. Further, in some states over 50% of Black kids are aborted. Wouldn't it be a lot better and cheaper for the Black girl not to have gotten pregnant in the first place? Why is their so little effort in this area by the liberals who want more "Equity"?
How about looking around the world for countries that have better "Equity" indexes than the USA? If you do that you will find that they have an older average population. In the USA our average population is about 38.8 while Canada has an average of about 41. Compare that with the places where most of the illegal immigrants are coming from and you will see that they have an average the is near or below 20 years of age. Look at the average age of the immigrants across our southern border and you will see that it is well below the USA average of 38,8. The impact is to "lower" the average age of our population which makes the "Equity" index worse.
You might be asking how we can raise our average age? One way is to have fewer kids. Blacks and Latin American have the largest families that works against lowering our average population age. Another way to increase the age of our population is to start having children at older age. What we now have is the poorest and least education part of our population start having children at the youngest age. This is bad and it make the "Equity" index worse. In countries like Argentina the average family starts having children at an older age, but the have about the same size families. The impact is to have an older average population. In the Ukraine they have an average age much older than the USA and thus have a much better "Equity" index. Why are the liberals not promoting this concept? You tell me.
This is only a partial list of painless things that could be done to improve the "Equity" index. What we all need to do is to call people out who mistakenly think they are helping the "Equity" index when they are making things worse. I hope that I have opened you eyes a little on "Equity"!
PS---What if by the age of 19 a person had not graduated from high school then they would be drafted into the Army? It would not mater if they were male or female. I can not think of anything that would assure "Equity" more than that. I know that in Oregon they have lowered the grades so that any moron can be assured of graduation. They have figured out how to penalize smart and disciplined kids so they don't earn so much.
