AOC recently endorsement of Bernie Sanders has mystified many, but not me. That is what this blog is about.
Look at Bernie. He is 78 years old and has a "brand" that has millions of avid followers and a bank account bigger than most candidates. Now, look at AOC. She is 30 years old and has a big following in the media. If you were AOC and was looking at the future, wouldn't it be great if she could combine Bernie's "brand" with her own? It would be second only to that of President Trump. Something like that is worth fighting for!
Who else do you think would be capable of taking over Bernie's "brand"? I don't know of anyone. Do you? Most everyone knows that Bernie's socialist policies are not very popular with most of the voters. That fact does not detract from the basic value of Bernie's "brand" and AOC knows that. It does not have to be a perfect match to be the best match in the game. The liberal purists, due to their blindness, would not consider taking over Bernie's brand in a million years. I am starting tho think that AOC might be a lot smarter than most people are giving her credit for.
Who in the Democratic side of the race has the strongest "brand" with the media? It is AOC and she knows it. Think about that? If she can combine the "brands" for both the media and Bernie, we can expect to see big trouble from AOC for years to come. We all know that money talks in politics plus having the media on one's side is where the real power is.
Follow this and tell me in a couple of years from now how things have worked out? I think that I am right!
