It is getting wild out there and the green movement is leading the pack! This blog uses simple logic on the subject.
I think that all can agree that the Earth's climate has changed over time. Sometimes it has made the environment more favorable for human survival and sometimes worse. Think of the Ice Age? What caused it to happen and what caused it to end? Does anyone in the green movement know? I don't think so. The green movement seems locked on carbon dioxide as the cause. How many in the green movement really know anything about "why" carbon dioxide is part of their problem? Zero! Most in the green movement feel that us humans are the cause and are the ones who caused an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. A logical extension of this thinking would seem to point to control of human population as a major part of any solution rather than Carbon. We have too many humans!
If we have too many humans, then what is the solution? The solution is to slow, stop or reduce the growth of the human population here on Earth. Rather than expect government to solve every problem, why don't we look into the mirror for the answer? Why don't those who feel so strongly in favor of the green movement get themselves neutered? That would seem to be the least costly solution and would allow all those concerned to have some "skin in the game" rather than to blame others.
I have pointed out in prior blogs that if the USA had as many people per square mile as El Salvador, the population of the USA would be 3.1 billion! There are countries here on Earth that "double" their population every 20 years. Why is there not more concern about these countries by those in the green movement?
PS---Rather than all this concern by the green movement over Carbon and Carbon Dioxide, why isn't there more concern about Oxygen? If we could get rid of Oxygen, there would not be any Carbon Dioxide! How about a chemistry class for some of these greenies? They could start by finding out what Ozone is and where comes from. They could also learn that both coal and oil were created from solar energy and thus are both solar energy from the Sun. How about burning wood? It is solar energy and trees need the Carbon Dioxide to create more wood. Trees can collect solar energy cheaper than solar panels!
PS---The two biggest factors contributing to the greenie's concern are:
(1) Number of people on Earth
(2) Higher level of prosperity people enjoy
This means that their solution is fewer people plus a lower quality of life. When immigrants come into the USA from places like El Salvador their higher quality of life here comes at the expense of more "global warming" than if they had just stayed back in El Salvador. Interesting isn't it?
PS---How about not cooking our food or drinking hot coffee or tea? How about not heating or air conditioning our homes? How about getting rid of tractors in farmer's fields? How about going back to mules (mules that don't fart)? Do you have a problem giving up beef steak and milk?
PS---Do the greenies know that us humans breath in Oxygen and breath out Carbon Dioxide? Isn't that the same kind of pollution that the greenies are against? it looks to me that us humans just might be a major part of the global warming problem!
