As I get older and older, I use my experience to see if I can identify "patterns" in the data that I have accumulated. Younger people can not do this as well because they do not have the store of data that one gets from living longer. Historically, people have gone to the oldest people in their communities to gain knowledge and understanding. That is what I am talking about here. Now my blog.
Both the Democratic party and religion have to play in the same arena and they both have the same objective. Didn't know that? They both want to have control and influence over most of the people in that arena. The other thing is that both use similar methods to gain that control and influence. Didn't know that either? I know that you are all confused about the above so I will explain my reasoning in more detail.
The arena of people have always been about the same over time. Some are better off than other and it has always been that way. It is a fact that many of those toward the bottom tend to feel that they are "victims". To be a victim, there has to be someone or something that causes you to be victim. If one feels that they are a victim, they look for a path out of their victim situation. That is natural and has been going on since the beginning of time. In contrast, those who are better off and toward the top tend not to feel that they are victims even if the got to their position by pure luck. They tend to take full credit for their position and do not accept that it may have been pure luck. They do not look around to try to find who or what made them victims. Starting to see how we have two groups of people? We need these two groups to make this system work. I will show you how.
Democrats tend to focus on the poor who mostly see themselves as victims. The poor also tend to be less productive too. Today, education is the main driver of productivity and worth. Education does not make you more intelligent. Here is where the Democratic pitch comes in. Once they have identified their group of victims, they try to convince them that voting Democrats into office is their path out of their victimization. Further, since to be a victim, you need some one who is victimizing you. The Democrats identify those groups as Republicans and corporations as the enemy. Further, the Democrats see themselves as the "only" ones who can save the victims. If another group wants to do the same thing, the Democrats brand them as the enemy too. That is why Democrats hate Republicans even if they propose to do the same things that the Democrats do. In the past, I have blogged that this is the "poison pill" used as a means to assure that they maintain their exclusive control of the victims.
Now, look at religion. They search out people who feel they are victims too, but they define them a little differently. Religion convinces people that they are all "sinners" and that they are the only ones who have a magic pill that will "save" them. Further, they promise a gold plated place to rest in after death. Most people historically have been concern about death and religion builds on this. Like being victims, religion has created the Devil that causes people to become "sinners" while Democrats blame rich people or corporations as the ones who make people victims. Each church claims that "only" they have the "path" to the happy hunting grounds. Does this sound like how the Democrats claim that they have the "only" path out for their "victims hood"?
Why is it that political parties and churches can't agree that each has the same objective of helping "all" people rather than just a defined groups that can vote over 50%. The reason is that all of these groups are "do gooders" and are more concerned more about their own egos and the personal power that they get from controlling groups of people. We need more institutions who want to just leave people alone and stop keep trying to manipulate them and control them. As individuals, are we so mentally wimpy that we need a church or political party to care for us?
The best government is one that has the least control over our individual freedom and it is the same for the churches.
