People often mix the two words, "management" and "leadership". With my age and experience, I have had a chance to work "for", "with" and "around" all types. For either of the two types to work, the individual has to bring something to the party. In the case of Obama, he brings to the party the skills of a con man. He is of the type who could make millions preaching to a bunch of wide eyed followers just like his very good friend Rev. Wright. Obama also brings to the party the fact that he has totally conned the liberal media so that they have lost all rationality. He has done the same with the labor unions but not with the same finesse that he used on the media. He just, "has their backs".
Many people would like to have some important job in the White House and would be willing to bend their value system a "little" to get one of those jobs. The problem with that is that once a con man like Obama has them inside the White House, he owns their soul. How can that be, you ask? Easy. With Obama's total control of the liberal media, he can call those dogs in any time that he wants to punish anyone in the White House that steps out of line, as define by him and him alone.
Obama sees himself as the "manager" type, not the leader who knows anything. As a "manager" type, all he has to do is to get people who know what to do and then to control them and point them in the direction that he wants. He can then stand back and watch without getting his hand dirty. If things go well, like the killing of OBL, Obama takes credit. If things go bad, it was someone elses fault. If there is some thing that he should have known, like Libya, he could claim that he was not in the loop. One of his people dropped the ball, not him. He always wants to do what is "right" and to protect everyone.
Most of our universities put out "manager" types, not leaders. You hear them always saying that they do not need to know every thing, all they need is the right people to "manage". The question that I would like to hear asked to anyone who is leaving the Obama White House is, "what did you learn from Obama that has made you better at your job?" In the case of "managers", the person would have to say "nothing". If Obama was a "leader", they would say that they are now much more qualified to do their job than they were before.
Did you ever wonder why none of the people who have worked in the White House has never said a bad word about what went on in there? The reason is that they are afraid. They know that Obama, with his control of the liberal media, could squash them like a bug anytime that he wanted to and that they could not do anything about it. If that were not enough, he could use the IRS or the Attorney General to bankrupt them and their families and do it all legally. One of these days, we are going to see someone who worked in the White House who is not a coward and who has nothing to lose, like an "Okie". Tell us exactly what has been going on in there. The Okies were so poor and beaten down that they had nothing to lose. My experience has been that the Okies were some of the most honest people who I have ever dealt with. You will not see any Okies in Obama's White House.
Remember the answer from they guy who Obama nominated to be Sec of Defense? He said that his job was "not" to set the defense policy. He said it in a way that suggested that he was only going to be a "manager".
In another blog, I pointed out the principle of "plausible deniability". That was where the people arranged things so that if some thing bad happened that they could claim the were out of the loop or that someone who reported to them, never told them. This is what Clinton did, but we should all be able to see thru such a thin smoke screen like that. Even Obama does this any time some thing bad happens on his watch. He blames someone else, though it is getting old for him to still be blaming Bush.
This has been round about, but it is clear that Obama is a con man, a Judas and "not" a real leader. For a person with such a small head, he does have a very big ego and big ears.
