With this summer heat on the east coast, Global Warming is back on the front burner. I thought that I would add my comments on the situation. The problem that I have is one that my grandfather told me about. "When you see a man argueing with his mule, it is difficult to know which one is the mule" I guess I am a mule for even getting into a debate with the Global Warming crowd.
Did you know that now China uses more energy than the USA? They are also the biggest poluter in the world. If the biggest user of coal and energy is not going to reduce their greenhouse gases, it does not seem to make much sense for the USA to bankrupt their economy to reduce their greenhouse gas generation. We know that the biggest causes of growth in greenhouse gases are population growth and increases in standard of living. Right now the world wide population is doubling every 33 years. That means in 99 years there will be 8 times as many people on this earth than there are now. I don't think we can grow enough food to feed 8 times more people. The desire to improve the standard of living for more of the earth's population is going to mean that in 99 years the average person will use twice the amount of energy that they do now. Now let's use 4th grade math and see what this compound upto? My prediction is that in 99 years we will need 16 times the energy that we use today. Now there is no way that we can produce 16 times the energy that we do today and not add significantly to greenhouse gases. With me so far?
If everything that Obama and all his liberal friends wants to do goes into affect and the USA holds our energy consumption to what it is today as well as our greenhouse gas generation, it will mean that in 99 years, the world will only need 15 times the energy that they need now. All this assumes that if we bankrupt ourselves trying to save the world, the world is going to die anyway. The USA is one of the biggest food producers with the most potential to produce even more, but to produce that additional food, we will have to use additional energy. How can we do that while we are cutting down the amount of energy that we use?
The world population doubles every 33 years while the population of Mexico doubles every 22 years. That means that in 88 years, Mexico will have 16 times the population that they have now. Mexico will have more people than the whole USA while only being able to produce enough food to feed 15% of that. I think that you can see that this whole Global Warming thing is just a cruel smoke screen that keeps the eyes of the people off the real problem, which is over population. When was the last time you ever heard anyone in the Obama administration say anything about world wide over population? Never.
How the Obama administration can drag up Global Warming at this point is beyond me. It is the cruelest of hoaxes and many simple minded people are following the Pide Piper over the cliff.
