We are always hearing about some kind of "Dooms Day". Take the people who believe in Global Warming? They feel like if we don't do some thing about carbon dioxide, we are looking into the face of "Dooms Day". I have been researching the whole concept of "Dooms Day" and have come to some interesting conclusions. Obama used the "Dooms Day" thing in his promotion of his health care bill. It had to be done by last July or the world would come to an end..."Dooms Day". The bill did not pass in July and the world is still here. Have you ever purchased a used car from a real huckster. He, most likely, use the "Dooms Day" thing too. You had to buy the car right then or some other person would take the car from your grasp. I have even seen real estate salesmen use the gag. Religion is one of the most famous for using the "Dooms Day" routine. Almost all the religions that I have researched use the "Dooms Day" concept in one way or another. The point is that this "Dooms Day" thing is all around us, but exactly what is it? No one has ever experienced "Dooms Day" first hand and can thus report any facts about it. Great concept. Anyone can claim it or promote it and no one can disprove it. How great is that, but why? Here is my take on "Dooms Day".
Rather than look at where the "Dooms Day" thing exists, let's look at where it does "not" exist. People always look directly at the light to figure out where the train is coming, but you just might learn more by "not" looking at the light. Have you ever heard anyone use the concept of "Dooms Day" if they did not want anything from you? I did not think so. Did you ever notice that it is only when someone wants something or wants to have some power or control over you that they invoke the "Dooms Day" concept? The Aztecs had a "Dooms Day" in their calendar that predicted when "Dooms Day" would come. Notice that it was always a long time in the future, so that there was plenty of time for whoever was promoting the "Dooms Day" to extract something from their followers. Notice that "Dooms Day" is never tomorrow? If it were, it would provoke irresponsibility on the part of the followers and prevent the promoter from gaining anything. That's how it works. If the promoter of "Dooms Day",like Rev Jones, they seem to be able to get normal people to do the strangest things. Drinking poison cool aide and give it to their own kids really happened. Obama has his followers believing in his "Dooms Day" regarding the health care thing and the carbon tax. If they buy the "Dooms Day" thing, they will give him what he wants even if they should know better. It is very strange how this whole thing works. It would seem that an intelligent society would learn that "Dooms Day" is only a concept to gain power and control over you. The thing that I can't figure is that this whole "Dooms Day" thing has been going on with humans for at least 5,000 years. Why is that? Are we all that stupid? How many movies have you seen where there is some kind of "Dooms Day"? If you look around you will see it being played all over the place and it still seems to work.
How many people do you know who can't get to a store fast enough to get in on the big sale? What they are really doing is getting to the store before "Dooms Day". See how it is all over the place? I even used the concept when I was in high school selling magazine subscriptions. I told little old ladies that if they did not pay me right then that it would be "Dooms Day" and they could no longer get my special price. Even as a kid, I knew how to gain power and control over people by inventing my own "Dooms Day". When you watch the news on TV, see if anyone ever exposes the falsehood of "Dooms Day"? I don't think so. This whole concept of "Dooms Day" is such a part of us humans that we don't even seem to notice when it is being played on us. My guess that I could play this "Dooms Day" thing on my dog about twice before he got wise to it, so why not us humans? It is really scary when you think about it. In many ways, my dog is smarter than most humans. Sorry, but true.
